Tenant References

A free site for tenant reference checks

How many times have you rented your premises, yet wondered if you just made a big mistake? You have looked at the application, and everything checks out, yet you wonder; is the information in the application truthful? Or, you call the last reference who gives a glowing report.only that they are trying to get rid of this person themselves!

If you have been in the residential rental business for any length of time, chances are good that every now and again, you get that one tenant who is hell bent on making your life miserable. We have been in this business for over 10 years, and eventually, it happens to the best of us. Worse yet, the courts offer little protection. Everybody has war stories in this business.

Now you can be proactive in protecting yourself. Firstly, enter your tenants in the database, even the good ones. We are better able to protect ourselves as more landlords do this. Secondly, before you let that new tenant into your place, check the database for his/her name. If you need further information, contact the landlord who submitted the name. Chances are, they will be only too happy to talk to you!

Finally, we have sought legal opinions on the website. In fact, there are a few other websites offering the same service, but they charge a fee for service. Keep in mind that the names in the database are NOT automatically seen/displayed upon log-in by anyone, but must be actively searched. In other words, names are not on public display!
