I am looking for a quiet, responsible, employed professional person or a mature couple who will maintain the unit. No pets or smoking (cigarettes, vaping, pot). The house is appropriate for up to two people. References and a credit check will be required. I have a long-term tenant in the basement, so it's also important that there is a good fit for them.
As a tenant, what might you expect from me, as a landlord? I am respectful, responsive and look after my tenants. I like to know who is living in my house and when tenants have been with me for a long time, I build relationships with them, without being intrusive. I am happy to provide you with my own references of the current and past tenants. It is important to me that the house is well looked after and I take pride in my property. Prior to living in my current home, I lived on the main floor of this property and rented out the lower suite. Gardens and the lawn are maintained weekly by the lovely Doug. I also live in the neighbourhood, so I know it well. It's a neighbourhood in which I grew up and I am well-rooted to the area. My own home is in the same area.
